“手把青秧插满田 低头便见水中天 心地清净方为道 退步原来是向前”

                                                                                                                                         唐。布袋和尚

A simple but yet uneasy to learn, and master at the same time. The original meaning of the poem above is visualizing the working environment of a rice farmer.

The workers holding the rice sprout, working hard in the rice field.
They do not need to look up to the sky seeking the scrounging sun,
as they will be able to see it clear beneath them on the water surface.
To concentrate at work, is to cast out all thoughts that distracts you in any ways. And the motion of stepping backwards, is the marching towards a better future.

In terms of life, do we ever took take a step back while rushing with work? Do we ever take a step back while in a heated argument? Do we ever take a step back to take another look at the whole situation?

The World is bigger than we know

“忍一时风平浪静、退一步海阔天空”

Is holding the same principal as well, maybe we shall take a step back and review our situation. No matter is in life, work, relationship or friendship.
